I sometimes take photos of sport on Wednesday afternoons for the uni paper. I don’t like sport, but it’s (sometimes) a bit of fun. On this day, however, it was freezing.

An assignment for the paper. They are running an article on the Granger Market in Newcastle and wanted ‘a butcher looking happy his meat’. While this didn’t fulfil the ‘happy’ criterion, the guy was a bit of a dude.

BNP Protest

I’d hoped there were going to be far more people here (and police riot guys and dogs and whatnot) but the protest seemed fairly tame when it started from outside the union. From the looks of some of the photos from the papers, more people joined as the protest made its way to the BBC building but I’d gone home by that point…
